Are You Intuitive?
Marie Manuchehri, RN
Are you Intuitive? If you've ever asked yourself that question, I have an easy answer for you. Of course you are! Intuition is a birthright for all. Intuition is about connecting to the natural wisdom that lives deep inside of you; wisdom that ripples throughout eternity, gently touched by creation and then expressed through you. Inside your being there lives a vast universe. Inside this vast universe are the answers to anything you want to know. You cannot be a part of something as big as a universe and not have it be an integral part of you. I knew this information most of my life, thanks to my mother and her intention to raise her children with spiritual knowledge. But I didn't really feel the profound truth that we are all naturally intuitive until eight years ago when I had many extraordinary paranormal experiences.
I wasn't shocked by the tiny golden pyramids spinning all around me in layers extending several feet away from my body and vibrating with some sort of humming sound. I was, however, vastly curious about what I was seeing and hoping that some of the distant stories I heard as a young person about crazy aunts and grandmothers was not my destiny, too. I wasn't really worried about this strange vision because in my heart I knew the world was alive with possibilities and surprises. I also knew that Grandma and Aunt Dot were just not understood or appreciated for their unique insight. Still, I wondered just a little.
The tiny vibrating pyramids that woke me up every morning for months toward the end of 1998 were not my first introduction to a multisensory existence, my birthright. The first of these paranormal experiences appeared one evening during a meditation class. While meditating with my eyes closed, I clearly saw a blue ball spinning deep within my lower abdomen. The ball was about two inches in diameter, translucent, and multidimensional, as if I could see through the ball and beyond. The ball beckoned me as if it were real.
The magic did not disappear as I expected when I opened my eyes. Incredibly, after the teacher roused her students and I opened my eyes and I could still see the spinning blue ball. It was as if a microscopic camera had emerged from my brain and extended through some sort of tube that allowed me visual access deep inside my body.
These encounters stayed with me, and more new experiences entered my life. Taken together, they created a constant inward awareness about the truth of being human. I know we are all intuitive because we are all one. “We are all one” is a universal truth. Whether an ability to read tarot cards, experience medium communication, or help another heal, just because some people are exhibiting some sort of paranormal ability and you do not have similar abilities, does not mean you are not intuitive. Intuition is meant to help you in your life. Regardless of your profession, age, or gender, tuning into your intuitive self or becoming a multi-sensory being is definitely part of the evolutionary expansion of humankind.
Look around you, because multi-sensory experiences are everywhere. Movies, television, books, talk shows, and radio programs are constantly awaking you to your birthright. Collectively, the human race is ready for a multi-sensory shift. Our fear has lessened and our desire to better connect consciously is at an all-time high.
How can you embrace your natural intuition? I learned that sitting with whatever has caught your attention – whether it's voices or pyramids – is best. Let the subtle wind tell you what it longs to. Be still, and the secret knowledge that lives deep inside of you will show itself. The hardest part is releasing the constant distractions of life that consume your attention but never bring you real peace or great advice.
Here is my favorite exercise to move into the present moment and feel the magic all around you. Sit or lie in a comfortable position and do your best to just relax. After a few moments place your dominant hand palm down on your lower abdominal area just below the belly button. This is where the second chakra lies in your body. Become aware of the weight of your hand there and any heat that is being exchanged between your hand and your tummy. Perhaps visualize internal organs or pay attention to the beating of your heart.
As you become present, your awareness will alert you to your physical body. Maybe you will feel a tingling sensation somewhere in you body or feel apart of your body you normally ignore. This physical, present-moment attention expands consciousness. During expanded consciousness you can ask questions or simply allow universal advice into your life.
